Carbon(symbol C) is the criteria to classify material into organic or inorganic and depending on the combination type, it is ranged from
ultra hard diamond to very soft graphite. Very different properties are shown depending on the combination type.
For Example. Of it only has a sp3 combination then it is diamond but of only has a sp2 combination, then it is graphite.
Unlike diamond or graphite, DLC is amorphous material that has no crystal structure. Instead, sp1, sp2 and sp3 are intermingled
in one material but its properties such as hardness, anti corrosions and anti abrasions are similar to diamond.
Thus, it is called diamond like carbon(Diamond-like Carbon). |

DLC coating electrically accelerates activated hydrogen molecules or carbon ions in the plasma by using amorphous carbon new
material so that the high motion energy is forced to collide on the plate. The DLC layer has various structures and due to the special
coating environment, it can form a coating layer with a very new structure and property that can¡¯t be obtained in a normal coating
condition. (Diamond-like Carbon).
